Writing about John Hench's book , as I did in a recent , revived my interest in the Disney theme parks. In late January, when a business trip took me to Orlando, I seized the opportunity to pay my first visit to the Magic Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World since 1974. (It had been fifteen years since I last visited Disneyland, its near-identical twin in California.) The day was cloudy, with light rain in the afternoon, and even though it was a Saturday, the crowds were small—at least by what I took to be normal standards. I shudder to think what the park is like when the huge parking lots are almost full, instead of almost empty.

If you can ignore the crass commercialism, something I've alreadytalked about in my essay , Disneyland,as can be expected, was a lot of fun. However, it is nowhere as coolas in Florida. Therides are pretty much the same, though my perception was that therides in Disney World were sometimes bigger/longer. The one exceptionfor this is the Adventure ride for which I don't believe there is aequivalent in Walt Disney World. In general, I enjoyed the ridesabout compared to rides like Space Mountain.

A sample descriptive essay about a trip to Disneyworld

It was different when my family of four first visited the park two years ago, for what was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime family jaunt. For a typical vacation, I’d maybe check a few reviews on TripAdvisor or rates on Expedia and call it a day. But like many before me planning a Disney trip, I caught a bad case of Mickeyitis, spiraling down a rabbit hole into the House of the Mouse. There, I discovered the vast underworld of 21st-century Disney fandom, from bloggers who photograph every bite of food or piece of new merchandise, to podcasts and YouTube videos reviewing every ride, to message boards critiquing the resorts’ some 30,000 on-site hotel rooms.

I remember my trip to Disneyworld in Orlando Florida. It was a few years ago and it was the best trip of my life. I remember flying to Orlando. This is because Orlando hosts many locations that cater to all kinds of people, whether they are children, men, women, adults, senior citizens, or foreigners. Orlando has many theme parks located on its famous strip, including Disneyworld, Wet n' Wild, Universal Studios, Epcot Center, Ripley's Believe it or Not House. Sea World, and a host of other tourist locations. And out of all these places, the most interesting place to be at is Disneyworld.
