The admissions essay may be one of the most feared parts of the college admissions process but it is also one of the most important. It is your place to shine as an applicant and a great essaycan definitely tip the scales in your favor.
The decision was not an easy one to make, but it was reached through a thorough and thoughtful review. Your application was evaluated in the context of the entire applicant pool. It was read individually by at least two members of our staff. Owing to the fact that so many applicants present strong records of achievement, admission to the College is highly selective. It simply is not possible for us to offer admission to all students who could be successful at William & Mary.
While the accuracy of these tests and their true ability to determine your skill level in certain areas has been debated, they do remain a requirement for admittance to most four-year American colleges and universities. Every student planning to go to an accredited college or university will have to take the ACT or the SAT before their college applications will be considered.
Your response to the offer of admission and matriculation fee must be submitted online by May 1, 2013 or mailed and postmarked by May 1, 2013. It is your responsibility to read and follow the enclosed Final Requirements sheet. Keep in mind that all offers of admission are conditional upon your continued academic success and completion of the final requirements for admission.
